  • Is it mandatory to take out insurance?

    No. Taking out any of the insurance options is completely optional and is offered as an additional service for greater peace of mind when traveling. 

  • Who is covered by the insurance?

    The insurance covers the booking holder and all included companions, including adults, children, and babies. To provide better service, it is important that all companions are registered through the email Intermundial sends after the booking. 

  • When does the insurance coverage start?

    Cancellation coverage starts the day after purchase.

    Assistance coverage begins on the start date of the trip. 

  • What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

    First, you must cancel the booking with MUR Hotels. If the reason for cancellation is included among the covered causes of the purchased insurance, you must report the claim to Intermundial and provide the required documentation to request reimbursement. 

  • What is the difference between cancellation and trip interruption?

    Cancellation: cancellation of the trip before the arrival date.

    Interruption: early return after the trip has started due to a covered cause. 

     

    In both cases, the insurance reimburses unused expenses according to the limits and conditions of the policy. 

  • Do I have to pay upfront if I need medical assistance?

    Generally, no. As long as you contact the 24-hour assistance service, Intermundial will coordinate medical care directly with the corresponding medical center. 

  • What should I do if my baggage is lost or delayed?

    You must file an incident report (PIR) at the airport and keep it along with expense receipts. With this documentation, you can process the claim according to your insurance coverage. 

  • Can I modify or cancel the insurance once purchased?

    Assistance-only insurance can be modified or canceled up to 24 hours before arrival. 


    Insurance policies that include cancellation do not allow changes or cancellations once purchased.

  • How do I manage an incident or a claim?

    Quickly and easily through the Intermundial App or the Customer Area, where you can:
